Miķelis Kaņeps

Android Developer at VIALET

Miķelis Kaņeps has a diverse work experience in the field of Android development. Miķelis started their career as an intern at NFC Team in 2013 before moving on to Accenture as a regular contractor, where they developed applications for smart TVs and Android phones. In 2014, they worked as a senior Android programmer at LinkCard and an Android developer at IntechSystems, where they contributed to the development of internet market applications. From 2016 to 2018, Miķelis worked at Ubiquiti Networks as an Android developer, focusing on the development of drone UI applications and communication services. Miķelis then joined Draugiem Group in 2018 as a mobile team project manager and Android developer, where they managed projects and provided development support for social network and navigation game apps. In 2019, Miķelis worked as an Android developer at VIALET and also started their own project called Tip Tap Mama, where they created a social app for young mothers using Android NavController, Koin, Coroutines, and Google Maps SDK.

Miķelis Kaņeps obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in ISCED 5 from Latvia University of Agriculture, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. After that, they pursued their Master's Degree in Information Technology Project Management from Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) between 2014 and 2017. Prior to their university education, Miķelis completed their secondary education at Āgenskalna State High School from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their academic qualifications, Miķelis also obtained a certification in Project Management with PMI methodology from Latvijas-Vācijas profesionālās izglītības centrs in January 2018.
