Susmita S.

Susmita S. began their work experience in 2013 as an Undergraduate Researcher at Penn State University, where they focused on a research project aimed at improving the user experience of operating a robot remotely. Susmita continued their research work at Penn State in 2014, focusing on building an autonomous wheelchair for patients with disabilities.

In 2015, Susmita interned as a Process Engineering Intern at AIG. Susmita then returned to Penn State University in 2016 for another research project as an Undergraduate Researcher, this time focusing on solving the problem of reducing network bandwidth while operating a robot remotely.

Susmita joined HighRes Biosolutions in 2018 as a Software Automation Engineer - Robotics, where they gained experience in automating software systems for robotics. In 2019, they transitioned to iRobot, where they worked as an Associate Automation Engineer before being promoted to a Software Engineer role in 2020.

Most recently, Susmita joined Viam in 2022 as a Software Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Susmita S. completed their high school education at Patchogue-Medford High School from 2010 to 2012 and obtained a High School Diploma. Susmita then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Penn State University, from 2012 to 2017.
