David B. Dorwart

David B. Dorwart has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. David is currently the Chairman & CEO of ViaOne Services, a position they have held since ViaOne's inception in 2009.

Prior to ViaOne, Dorwart was the Founder, President & CEO of dPi Teleconnect/dPi Energy, LLC from 1999-2009. During their tenure, Dorwart grew dPi from a start-up phase to become one of the largest competitive local exchange carriers (CLEC) in the United States.

Dorwart began their career in 1983 as an Executive Chef at Schoonover's Restaurant. David then went on to hold various positions at Britton & Associates, PayGO Distributors, Brooklet Energy Distribution LLC, and Assist Wireless. In January 1986, Dorwart joined Rent-A-Center as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and held this position until December 1997.

In January 1999, Dorwart founded dPi Teleconnect/dPi Energy, LLC. Under their leadership, dPi became one of the largest competitive local exchange carriers (CLEC) in the United States. In April 2009, Dorwart sold dPi Teleconnect/dPi Energy to Windstream Corporation.

Dorwart is a member of the National Lifeline Association and has served on its Board of Directors since 2010.

David B. Dorwart attended Concord High School and the University of Delaware, where they earned an AS81 in Business.
