Björn Högberg

Björn Högberg has a comprehensive work experience in the legal field. Björn began their career as a Court Clerk/tingsnotarie at the District Court of Kalmar/Kalmar tingsrätt in 2006. Björn then worked as an Associate/biträdande jurist at Baker & McKenzie from 2007 to 2010. Following that, they joined Tieto as a Senior Legal Counsel from 2010 to 2016. Högberg then moved to Modern Times Group MTG AB, where they served as the Head of Legal IT & Tech and Senior Legal Counsel from 2016 to 2018. Björn later joined Viaplay Group as the Head of Corporate Governance and Legal Affairs, Senior Legal Counsel from 2018 to 2019. Björn then assumed the roles of Acting Head of Legal Sweden (until 1 Oct 2020) and Senior Legal Counsel from 2019 to 2020. Högberg's most recent positions at Viaplay Group include Head of Legal Strategy and M&A from 2020 to 2022 and VP Group Corporate Legal starting in December 2022. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in corporate legal matters, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and governance throughout their career.

Björn Högberg attended Stockholm University from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained their degree in law, known as jur. kand./LL.M. Björn also briefly studied at the University of Glasgow from 2004 to 2005, focusing on law and financial studies.
