Filipp Bäckvall

Filipp Bäckvall has extensive work experience in the technology and streaming industry. Filipp started their career at Adeprimo in 2000 as a Systems Developer, where they worked on developing an online reservation system.

Later, Bäckvall joined Streamingbolaget AB in 2004 as the CTO and Head of development. Filipp was responsible for designing architecture and leading the development of their own Video Management System, used by prominent Swedish companies and newspapers. Filipp also worked on integrating various components such as UI, APIs, encoding platforms, and distribution through CDNs.

In 2012, Bäckvall joined Viaplay Group as a Project Manager, where they led projects until 2013. Following this, they took on the role of Solutions Architect, responsible for high-level platform architecture and integrations with internal services and external components. Filipp collaborated with internal teams to design and develop inline with best practices and long-term strategic goals, while also maintaining relationships with external vendors to ensure roadmap alignment and support.

In 2018, Bäckvall was promoted to Lead Architect at Viaplay Group, further showcasing their expertise and leadership skills. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Engineer, beginning in January 2022.

Filipp Bäckvall attended Mid Sweden University from 2003 to 2006, where they studied Economics with a focus on Management, Marketing, and Accounting. Prior to that, they attended Wargentinskolan, although the specific dates and field of study are unknown.
