Guru Gowrappan

Guru Gowrappan is an accomplished executive with a rich background in technology and leadership, currently serving as President of Viasat Inc. since April 2023. Co-Founder of Vasudhara Ventures and Bali Venture Partners since December 2020, Guru also holds board positions at BNY Mellon and Water.org. Membership in YPO has been maintained since June 2020. Previously, Guru was a Senior Advisor at Apollo Global and Yahoo, and CEO of Yahoo/Verizon Media until 2022. Notable past roles include President and COO at Oath and Verizon Media, as well as Global Managing Director at Alibaba Group. Guru's educational credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, a Bridge Program in Business from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from the University of Madras.
