Jason Ruiz

Jason Ruiz is a Lead Satellite Operations Engineer at Viasat, with extensive experience in engineering and robotics. Prior to Viasat, Jason served as a Student Satellite Controller and worked on the SDSU Rocket Project. Other notable roles include engineering internships at AltaSea and inVia Robotics, where skills in programming, simulation, and team collaboration were developed. Jason has also contributed to STEM education as a Robotics Instructor at Robolink, mentoring students in programming and engineering concepts. A strong educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from San Diego State University and leadership experience in various robotics teams, fostering a passion for innovation and teamwork.
