Ken Burraston

Ken Burraston is an experienced legal professional in the field of intellectual property, currently serving as Senior IP Counsel at Viasat since December 2015. In this role, Ken develops and maintains worldwide IP portfolios and formulates strategies for both commercial and government sectors. Previously, Ken held positions including Shareholder at Kirton | McConkie, where management of worldwide IP proceedings and support for patent litigation were key responsibilities, and Chief Patent Counsel at FormFactor, Inc., where a substantial international patent portfolio was developed. Ken's extensive background also includes litigation roles at prominent law firms, patent examination at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and engineering experience at IBM. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School.
