Sophia D'Amico

Sophia D'Amico is a Software Engineering Team Lead and Software Engineer at Viasat Inc., where employment began in August 2019. Previously, Sophia served as a Teaching Assistant for electrical and computer engineering courses at Rice University from August 2017 to April 2019 and worked as a Hardware Engineering Intern at Viasat Inc. during the summer of 2018, focusing on Doppler Shift correction for mobile Internet terminals. Additionally, Sophia gained research experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher in Dr. Benhaam Aazhang's lab, contributing to a seizure-detection software project funded by the National Science Foundation. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University, earned in 2019.
