Kaushik Samanta

Kaushik Samanta serves as the Head of Global EHS (SVP) at Viatris since March 2021, overseeing the global Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and sustainability functions across 22 locations in India and the Rest of the World, including sites in Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. Prior to this role, Kaushik held the position of Vice President of EHS at Lupin from February 2007 to March 2021, managing the EHS functions for 14 corporate units. Earlier experience includes serving as EHS Head at Biocon, overseeing four facilities, and managing EHS for Emerging Businesses at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. Kaushik's career began as a Trainee in the Environmental Engineering Division at Ambuja Cements Ltd, followed by various roles in EHS, including Assistant Manager at Delphi-TVS and Junior Manager at Medicorp Technologies. Kaushik holds a Master of Engineering in Safety Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master's degree in Environment from Savitribai Phule Pune University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law from the National Law School of India University, and an IGC in Occupational Safety and Health from NEBOSH.
