Douglas Wessel

Douglas Wessel has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles. In their current position as Head of Customer Solution Architecture at viax.io, they are responsible for leading and managing customer solution architecture. Prior to this, Douglas worked at Stryker as a Solution Architect, specializing in warehousing and distribution. Before joining Stryker, they served as a SAP Commerce Solution Architect at Techmates Group (TMG.io), where they designed and implemented integrated eCommerce flows for Whirlpool.com, KitchenAid.com, and Maytag.com. Douglas also held the role of SAP Commerce Technical Lead at TMG.io, where they spearheaded a complex end-to-end eCommerce project. Earlier in their career, Douglas worked as an SAP MM & EWM Lead Consultant at Bob's Discount Furniture, an AFS & Retail Business Process Consultant at SAP, an SAP Business Analyst Co-op at Movado Group, Inc, an ABAP Developer Co-op at Colgate Palmolive, and a Global IT Co-op at Movado Group, Inc. Overall, their experience encompasses a range of responsibilities and expertise in solution architecture, eCommerce, and SAP implementation.

Douglas Wessel earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Engineering Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. Douglas completed their studies at the institute from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the SAP Certified Application Associate - Extended Warehouse Management with SAP S/4HANA from SAP in January 2022, the Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2021, and the Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in December 2020.
