Alexander Botzki

Alexander Botzki is an experienced professional in bioinformatics and laboratory informatics, currently serving as the Head of VIB Technology Training at VIB since August 2009. In this role, Alexander coordinates lab omics training and develops technology curricula while actively participating in the ELIXIR Belgium Training Network. Additional expertise includes leading the ELIXIR Training Programme, focusing on the quality and interoperability of bioinformatics training resources. Previous positions held at VIB encompass leadership roles in bioinformatics data analysis and the implementation of electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs). Alexander's prior experience includes significant contributions at Algonomics, devgen nv, and Sanofi in areas such as computational medicinal chemistry and antibody modeling. Alexander holds a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Regensburg.
