Evy Vierstraete

Evy Vierstraete has extensive experience in science communications and event management, currently serving as the Head of Training & Conference Program at VIB since January 2007. Prior roles at VIB include Senior Marketing & Events Manager, Science Events Manager, Science Events Executive, and Science Communications Expert. Previously, Evy Vierstraete completed a postdoctoral fellowship and earned a PhD at KU Leuven between January 2001 and December 2006. Academic qualifications include a PhD in biological sciences from KU Leuven, completed from 2000 to 2004, and ongoing education at Vlerick Business School since 2014.
