VIC Tech
Mark Wagstaff, Vice President of Operations, comes to VIC with a diverse background. After working as an Electrical Engineer for a NASA subcontractor, he joined VIC Technology Venture Development in 2002 as the company’s second full-time employee. With his engineering and business background, Mr. Wagstaff served in many roles for each of the portfolio companies of VIC.
In 2007, he left VIC to purchase his own business. After eight years, Mr. Wagstaff sold his business and then spent a period of time teaching business classes at the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. Mr. Wagstaff rejoined VIC in 2018, and once again assists portfolio companies with operations, IT, proposal preparation, and benefits.
He received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Electrical Engineering degree, as well as an M.B.A, from Rice University.

VIC is a private, for-profit technology venture development firm in the business of forming new technology companies with the purpose of commercializing licensed technologies, providing an extensive business development team to provide the initial business leadership and other support for the formed companies, and providing management/corporate services to those portfolio companies on a pro-rata cost basis.
