Pete Abriani Jensen

Pete Abriani Jensen is a seasoned data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at the Department of Government Services since January 2023, focusing on the Syndromic Surveillance project. Previously, Pete held roles at the Department of Premier and Cabinet in Victoria, contributing to various projects that supported government departments through data analytics. Pete founded Tycho Analytics, providing consultancy services for clients like 7-Eleven and United Energy, and has extensive experience in predictive analytics, machine learning, and data visualization across multiple organizations. With a strong academic background, including a Master of Science in Astrophysics and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Business and Science, Pete has also held teaching positions, sharing knowledge in mathematics at Swinburne University of Technology and tutoring at The University of Queensland.
