Axel Gay

Axel Gay is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the mining and materials sector. Currently serving as Responsable d’exploitation at Groupe Vicat since March 2015, Axel manages multiple quarries and oversees a team of 30 personnel while ensuring production efficiency and quality. Previous roles include Responsable de site at the underground quarry of Saint-Laurent du Pont and Responsable d'exploitation at the SATMA quarry in Sassenage, where responsibilities encompassed personnel management, production oversight, maintenance coordination, and budget implementation. Prior to Groupe Vicat, Axel held the position of Ingénieur matériaux at COLAS, managing a team dedicated to the BPE service in Ajaccio and focusing on product quality and safety compliance. Axel holds a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Ressources Minérales et Conduite d'Exploitation from Ecole des Mines d'Alès.
