Robert Varkonyi has extensive work experience in the financial industry, primarily in roles such as program manager, senior business analyst, and financial analyst. Robert began their career in 1983 at McKinsey & Company as a systems architect and software developer. Robert then worked at Lecht Sciences, Drexel Burnham Lambert, and Citi Group in similar roles. In 1990, they joined Nomura as a vice president, program manager, and senior business analyst. From 1993 to 2000, they worked at Goldman Sachs as a vice president, program manager, and senior business analyst in the asset management and fixed income departments. Since 2000, they have been the president of Varkonyi Consulting Group, providing consulting services in the financial industry. Additionally, in 2000, they also joined Vichara Technologies, where they hold the position of program manager, senior business analyst, and financial analyst, working on a variety of projects related to trading, asset management, and analytics support.
Robert Varkonyi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1983. Additionally, they also attained another Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management in the same year.
