Dennis Franken

Dennis Franken has extensive experience in the field of chemistry. Dennis began their career in 2005 as a holiday lab assistant at WLZ, followed by a traineeship at Corus in the same year. In 2007, they worked as a Research Associate at Janssen Pharmaceutica, where they were part of the Hit Generation Team (HGT) in the Neuroscience group of the medicinal chemistry department. Dennis also worked as a Preparative Organic Lab Assistant at Schering-Plough, where they developed a new scalable and economic favorable synthesis route for a new pharmaceutically interesting compound. In 2010, they joined BioMarin Nederland B.V. as a Senior Research Associate 2, then a Sr Research Associate 1, Senior Technician, and Research Technician. Dennis also held the role of Analytical Chemist at Quality Department at IneosNova in the same year. Since 2019, they have been working at VICO Therapeutics B.V., where they have held the roles of Discovery Program Manager, Program Manager CMC, and Scientist Exploratory Chemistry.

Dennis Franken attended Baronie College from 2001 to 2005, studying Chemistry. Dennis then attended Avans University of Applied Sciences from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a BSc in Organic Chemistry.
