Hans-Ulrich von Freyberg began their work experience in 1988 as a Management Assistant to the Executive Board at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA. Hans-Ulrich then went on to become the CEO of Heinrich Vogel Fachzeitschriften GmbH, Plaza & Janés Editores, S.A., Groupe France Loisirs, and Bertelsmann Book Corporation. In 1998, they became the Managing Shareholder at Falken Publishing Group. From 1997 to 1998, they served as a Member of the Executive Board at Bertelsmann Buch AG. In 2013, they became the CEO of Kairion GmbH, and in 2018 they took on the role of CEO at Vicoland. Currently, they are the CEO of Cocomore AG, where they have been since 2000.
Hans-Ulrich von Freyberg began their education in 1980 at The University of Freiburg, where they pursued a degree in Economics and Classics, specializing in Altphilologie (Classics). Hans-Ulrich successfully completed their M.A. (Diplom-Volkswirt) in 1984. Following this, they attended Stanford University from 1985 to 1987, obtaining an MBA along with a Master of Arts in Classics. In 1987, Hans-Ulrich von Freyberg returned to The University of Freiburg to pursue a doctorate. Hans-Ulrich completed their degree in 1988, earning a Dr. rer. pol. in Economics and Classics.
