Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Vicon

Simon Walls has a diverse work experience in mechanical engineering. Simon started their career at NHS National Services Scotland, where they designed an ICU blood sampling system. Simon then worked at Subsea 7 as a student engineer, where they focused on tooling for remotely operated vehicles and product testing. Simon also worked at Chesapeake Branded Packaging, where they improved bottling line efficiency through improved carton shape. Simon gained experience in air compressor noise and NVH improvement at Jaguar Land Rover. At Teledyne Bowtech Ltd, they started as a graduate design engineer and later promoted to a mechanical engineer - R&D level 2. Simon worked on new product development and managed special projects. Simon is currently working at Vicon as a mechanical design engineer.

Simon Walls attended Inverurie Academy from 2003 to 2009. Simon then pursued their higher education at the University of Strathclyde from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Product Design Engineering. In 2012, they also had an exchange semester at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) as part of their MEng program.
