Victoria Foundation is committed to improving conditions on the ground in Newark and building power in communities for generations to come. In 2021 we announced a new framework that will guide the work of Victoria Foundation, changing the way we align our resources, strategies and personnel to partner with the Newark community to take on the root causes of intergenerational poverty and inequality.

Victoria Foundation is one of the oldest private foundations in America, founded by Hendon Chubb in 1924. Today, our mission is to partner with Black and Brown residents and other marginalized communities in Newark and nonprofit organizations to champion bold strategies that strengthen community power, foster economic justice, promote youth self-determination, and respond to pressing needs.
