Joe Moravec

Joe Moravec is the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at Victra. Prior to their current position, Moravec served as the President of ATN International from January 2017 to May 2020.

Moravec was hired by ATN International based on their extensive wireless experience to partner with the CEO on reframing strategy and instilling a more collaborative culture. In addition to leading growth and cultural initiatives, Moravec led and supported a 200-member team in ongoing operations, including critical roaming contract negotiations with wireless icons like AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint as well as management of a $150M P&L.

During their time at ATN International, Moravec unified the team and vision by clarifying expectations, aligning objectives, and leading by example. US Telecom was lacking a clear path forward and was hindered by siloed organizations whose goals were often at odds with each other. To remedy this, Moravec engaged leaders, redefined vision, mission and strategy, and cultivated multiple incremental potential growth strategies. As a result of their leadership, ATN International won several awards, including the AT&T First Net build valued over $300M, Connect America Fund Grant of $80M over 10 years, and Apache County and Grand Canyon subsidized fiber builds.

Moravec instilled trust and respect by seeking answers from the people who had worked in the business for years and through symbolic gestures like taking the smallest office to avoid displacing other leaders. Joe also unified siloed organizations by aligning their objectives and unifying the reporting structure.

Joe Moravec attended Cornell University for their undergraduate degree in electrical engineering. After working in the industry for a few years, they decided to go back to school to get their MBA in finance from Penn State University.
