Claire Steggall-Murphy

Claire Steggall-Murphy has a diverse range of work experience. Claire currently works at Victrex, where they have held two roles. Claire started as a Solutions Engineer in January 2020 and later transitioned to the position of Strategic Technology Manager in October 2022.

Prior to joining Victrex, Claire worked as a Group Fitness Instructor at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness starting in March 2017. Claire also served as a Program Coordinator at The SMILE Program from June 2017 to January 2020.

Claire's earlier experience includes working at Hexcel Corporation as a Research Engineer from October 2010 to January 2015. During their time at Hexcel, they also took on the role of Technical Support Engineer in the Matrix Technical Support group within the Sales and Marketing organization from October 2012 to October 2013. In this role, they conducted on-site visits to assist customers with manufacturing and troubleshoot issues, developed user manuals, trained sales staff, and created technical sales aids.

Before joining Hexcel, Claire worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Delaware from August 2005 to September 2010, and as a Composite Engineer at Freedom Yachts from January 2005 to August 2005.

Claire Steggall-Murphy has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. Claire completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island, graduating in 2004. Following their undergraduate studies, Claire pursued further education at the University of Delaware. From 2005 to 2010, they successfully obtained their PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Composites.
