Head Of R&d (added Role: Asia Pacific R&d Leader) at Victrex

Masakazu Tanaka has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Starting in 2006, they worked at Victrex in various roles. Masakazu began as a Development Engineer and then transitioned to the position of Product Scientist, where they played a crucial role in the successful launch of new products by facilitating communication between different departments and staying abreast of industry competitiveness. Masakazu then took on the role of Technical Service Manager in Japan, responsible for providing technical support to customers. After that, they served as the Head of Technology - Aerospace, leading the foundation stage of the Aerospace Composite Development Program and collaborating with external laboratories and service providers. Later, they became the Head of R&D (tactical revenue growth), overseeing the establishment of new product development processes and managing a large project portfolio and team of project managers. Currently, they hold the position of Head of R&D (added role: Asia Pacific R&D Leader), where they are responsible for managing research and development efforts in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Victrex, Tanaka worked as a Post-doc Research Associate at the University of Manchester from 2005 to 2006.

Masakazu Tanaka obtained a Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from Kobe University from 1998 to 2001. Masakazu then pursued further education and received a PhD in Polymer Science and Technology from The University of Manchester between 2001 and 2005. In addition, they obtained a certification in "成長志向のマインドセットを育むには" from LinkedIn in March 2021.
