José Manuel Rodríguez has over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry. From 2012 to present, they have been a Strategic Marketing Manager at Victus, Inc., where they created the vision, mission, and layout for the overall sales and marketing strategy of the Medical Devices Division. During their tenure, they maintained expertise by attending procedures, courses, workshops, tradeshows, and staying abreast of market dynamics, competitive landscape and global industry changes and technological advancements. Additionally, they developed a line of products that offer a complete solution for the biosafety of the health care workers, including NF measuring instruments and disinfecting caps. From 2005 to 2012, they were employed at Olympus, where they held various roles such as Product Manager for General Surgery and Systems Integration, Country Manager, and Product Manager for the Endoscopy Division. In their role as Country Manager, they supported Venezuelan distributors to develop all Olympus product lines represented in the country, increasing sales revenue, market share, and gross margin as established in the Business Plan. As Product Manager for the Endoscopy Division, they led the marketing strategy and activities related to GI and EUS of the Endoscopy division for the Latin American region.
José Manuel Rodríguez obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Cientificas (IVIC) between 1986 and 1989. Prior to this, they obtained a Licentiate degree in Marine Sciences from Universidad de Oriente between 1980 and 1986.
