Angus Dutton has a diverse work experience. Angus started as a Project Management Intern at Byline Media Ltd in 2018. In 2019, they worked as a Writing and Editing Intern at UNOPS. Angus then joined Smart Power Myanmar in 2020 as a Communications and Project Support Coordinator until 2021. Currently, Angus is working as a Business Development Lead at VIDA since 2022.

Angus Dutton earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Politics and Philosophy from The University of Edinburgh, which they attended from 2015 to 2019.

In 2017 and 2018, Angus Dutton studied abroad at the American University School of International Service, focusing on Politics and Philosophy.

From 2021 to 2023, Angus Dutton pursued further education at the United Nations University - Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) in the field of Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Angus Dutton has obtained various certifications. In 2022, they completed the United Nations Sustainable Solutions Winter School at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2021, Angus Dutton obtained a certification in Geospatial Information Technology (GIT) in Fragile Contexts from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). Angus also received PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2021. Prior to their further education, Angus Dutton obtained the BSAFE certification from the United Nations in 2019, and in the same year, they completed a course on Preparing and Responding to Active Shooter Incidents, also from the United Nations.
