Ben Gitterman, MD is Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University and Children’s National Medical Center. He is a full-time Board Certified practicing pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

He has major interests in Pediatric Primary Care and Community Pediatrics. He has been the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Holy Cross Hospital and was the Chair of the National Council on Community Pediatrics for the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a Past President of the Washington D.C. Chapter of the AAP. He works actively in the field of Pediatric Environmental Health and has founded and co-directed the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit for the Mid-Atlantic Region (PEHSU), a federally funded center.
