Darryl Osterland

Chief Technology Officer at Vida Integrated Health

Darryl Osterland has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to 2019. Darryl began their career as a Software Developer at Matrikon (now Honeywell), where they worked in a team to fix internal billing issues. Darryl then co-founded Intertemp International Corporation & Rogers Sleep and Comfort, where they set up the businesses from scratch and implemented the company's network infrastructure.

In 2007, Darryl joined Central Mechanical Systems as an Estimator/Project Manager, where they handled construction projects ranging from small to million-dollar projects and managed the entire construction process. Darryl also gained experience coordinating projects in the Canadian north.

In 2013, Darryl joined Shell as a Project Cost Controller, responsible for managing and overseeing project reporting for multiple disciplines on the Shell Groundbirch Gas Asset in BC. Darryl established project baselines and cost management frameworks. Darryl later took on the role of Cost Specialist/Prism Expert, supporting cost professionals, auditing monthly reporting, and assisting cost controllers in meeting Shell's reporting standards.

Darryl then moved on to DEO Solutions in 2016, where they served as a Business Owner for a brief period before joining Solex Thermal Science as an ERP Reporting Specialist. In this role, they implemented an Epicor 10 Enterprise Resource Planning solution company-wide and created reporting solutions using SSRS and PowerBI.

Most recently, in 2019, Darryl joined Vida Integrated Health as the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, they are responsible for the strategic direction of the company's technology needs and works closely with the executive team.

Throughout their career, Darryl has demonstrated expertise in technology strategy, enterprise resource planning, reporting and analytics, cost control, project management, and business ownership.

Darryl Osterland has a Diploma in Business Management from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Darryl also has a Diploma in Computer Technology from the same institution. In addition, they hold certifications including the Spyder BACnet Core Competency from Honeywell, which was obtained in June 2012, and the Niagara AX Framework Certification from Tridium, obtained in April 2012.
