Douglas Saunders is a seasoned leader in the hospitality and travel industry, currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of TravelBlock since July 2017, where responsibilities include strategic oversight and mission planning, alongside daily operations management. Prior to this role, Douglas held the position of Sales and Marketing Director at Vida Vacations since October 2001, progressing through various management levels in the shared ownership division. Experience also includes a tenure as Assistant Managing Director at Harrison Hot Springs Resort from September 1994 to 2000, where Douglas advanced from Night Manager to various directorial roles. Early career experience includes roles in the Food and Beverage Division at Fairmont Chateau Whistler and as a Housekeeper at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Douglas holds a Hospitality Degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management from the University of Vancouver, earned between 1992 and 1994.
