Arie Belldegrun

Arie Belldegrun, MD, currently serves on the Board of Directors for ByHeart, Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc., and IconOVir Bio, while also holding the position of Co-Chairman at Breakthrough Properties. Belldegrun is a Professor and Director of the UCLA Institute of Urologic Oncology at UCLA Health System, where involvement has spanned from 1994 to the present. As Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Allogene Therapeutics and Chairman of the Board for Kronos Bio, Inc., Belldegrun plays significant leadership roles in the biotechnology sector. Additional responsibilities include serving as Chairman and Partner at Two River and Co-Founder and Senior Managing Partner at Vida Ventures, LLC. Belldegrun founded Kite Pharma, Inc., where roles included Chairman, President, and CEO, with prior experience as Executive Chairman from 2009 to 2013. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Hadassah Medical School, a Urologic Surgery Residency at Harvard Medical School, and Surgical Oncology fellowships at the National Cancer Institute/NIH.
