David Margalef

David Margalef has extensive work experience in the IT field. David first started working at EDS Group in 1996 as an IT Analyst and stayed with the company until 2001. David then joined VidaCaixa in 2001 as an IT Manager and held this position until 2015. From 2015 to 2022, David served as the Head of Demand Management and Projects at VidaCaixa. Currently, David holds the role of Director of Demand Management for transformative IT projects and programs at VidaCaixa, a position they have been in since June 2022.

David Margalef has a diverse educational background. David completed a Digital Disruption Program at IMD in 2021 and an Executive Education Program, focusing on Leading Strategic Projects, at IESE Business School in 2020. In 2016, they participated in an LSE & Novaster Pensions Marketing program at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they studied the making of behavioural economics. In 2015, they earned a Postgraduate Expert Degree in Social Provision at UPF Barcelona School of Management, emphasizing social foresight. Additionally, they completed a specialization course in data protection at ISMS Forum Spain in 2015, becoming a certified data privacy professional (CDPP). In 2004, they obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Financial Markets from the Institut d'Estudis Financers (IEF), focusing on corporate economics. Furthermore, they hold a Bachelors's degree in Computer Information Systems Engineering from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, which they completed in 1996. Prior to that, they acquired a Computer Technology Programmer degree from the Centro de Formación y Divulgación de Tecnología Informática "la Caixa"/IBM, emphasizing information technology.
