Thomas Nehren has had a successful career in marketing, beginning with an internship at Young & Rubicam in 2005. After their internship, they were hired as a Marketing Manager at Alsco, where they managed marketing, sales, and product development for two divisions of the company. Thomas then moved to Richter7 as the Director of Strategic Planning & Research in 2007. In 2009, they joined 1-800 CONTACTS as a Senior Marketing Manager, Brand & Media, where they oversaw a $30 million media buy across traditional and digital media. In 2011, Thomas Nehren became the Director of Brand Marketing and then the Associate Director of Marketing at Glasses.com. From 2015 to 2021, they were the Chief Marketing Officer and then the Vice President of Marketing at Dental Select. In 2021, they joined VidAngel as the Vice President of Marketing, where they lead the marketing team to drive subscription growth and consistent engagement with the product.

Thomas Nehren obtained a Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Communications, Marketing and Advertising between 1998 and 2005. Thomas then went on to pursue an MBA from Brigham Young University between 2010 and 2012, studying Strategy, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior. In October 2019, Thomas Nehren obtained a certification in Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online.
