Michael Morton's work experience begins in 2013 when they worked as an IT Intern at Timex Group, providing desktop support and gaining experience in scripting. In 2014, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Otis Elevator Company, where they focused on improving the user experience for electronic keypads. Michael returned to Otis for their wintersession before co-founding Phood in 2014, where they served as Co-founder and Director of Software while working on food waste prevention technology.

In 2015, Michael had internships at Boundless Security Systems and GE Energy Management as a Software Development Intern and ITLP/Project Management Intern, respectively. In 2016, they joined GE Digital as a Front-End Software Engineer, implementing proof of concepts for new user experiences.
