Julie Kim

Council Member at Video Consortium

Julie is an award-winning video journalist for NBC News based in New York. She is the recipient of two National Emmys and a duPont-Columbia award for her coverage on Bill Cosby’s sexual assault cases that marked the rise of the #MeToo movement. A few of her most recent work: she has filmed documentaries and breaking news on the Covid-19 pandemic and BLM protests in the States, climate change in Antarctica, elephant poaching in Kenya, a manhunt of a brutal kidnapper in Mauritius and the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics in South Korea. When she’s not looking like a deer in headlights filming and flying drone, she pretends to be an artist - painting and playing on her Korg - and is a proud plant mom of exotic arid creatures.
