Monica Racic

Council Member at Video Consortium

Monica is a journalist, creative technologist, and the Digital Director of The New Yorker magazine. She has worked as a reporter, shooter, and editor, and taught at The New School in the interdisciplinary Journalism + Design program. In 2017, Monica was the story producer of “We Are Witnesses,” a series produced in partnership with The Marshall Project that won an Edward R. Murrow award and was nominated for a News and Documentary Emmy. Her collaborative work has been recognized by the American Society of Magazine Editors, the Society of Publication Designers, the Webbys, and was most recently nominated for an Online Journalism Award for innovation in visual digital storytelling.
