Mark Speer

Mark Speer is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in television production, editing, and education. Currently serving as a Master Control operator for KHSL and KNVN since February 2013, Mark also holds the role of Producer-Editor at KIXE-TV since August 2010. As a contributing writer for Videomaker, Mark shares insights on video production. In academia, Mark has been an Associate Professor at Butte Community College since August 2009, teaching popular Music Video Production courses. Additionally, Mark has contributed to Northstate Public Radio as a Producer/Editor since January 2009, creating acclaimed programming addressing social issues. Past roles include directing significant events like Freedom Fest and serving as a technical director and producer at various film festivals. Mark's early career includes technical roles at Disneyland Resort, enhancing skills in live production.
