Dan Morozoff

CTO at Vidrovr

Dan Morozoff is the CTO at Vidrovr. Dan was previously a NSF GRFP Fellow at Columbia University, where they did 2 photon microscopy to collect data on the taste cortex in behaving mice. Dan used machine learning and computer vision to process and analyze calcium traces from Gcamp6f fluorescence data. Dan tried to understand how the state space of taste is encoded/embedded within neuron firing patterns. Dan spent 1.5 years at Janlie Research Campus.

Formerly, they worked on a project to create computational models/ data processing schemes for DNA hybridizations in non-optical microscopy. Before that, they were a research assistant at UCLA Health System, where they investigated astrocyte heterogeneity using a mouse model. Dan was also a research assistant at NASA.

Dan Morozoff's educational career began with a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dan then went on to earn a PhD in Biosciences/Bioinformatics from Columbia University in the City of New York. Finally, they obtained certification from UCLA Health in EMT-Certification.

Some direct reports include Peter Njenga - Computer Vision Engineer, Oren Weingrod - Full Stack Engineer, and Gianni Galbiati - Research Engineer. Their manager is Joe Ellis, CEO. They are on a team with and Connor O'Day - Head of Business Development, Sales.
