Carmen Houben

Carmen Houben, PhD, currently serves as a GZ-psychologist in training for Specialist Klinisch Psycholoog at Vincent van Gogh voor geestelijke gezondheidszorg and has been in a similar role at VieCuri Medisch Centrum since April 2019, where additional responsibilities include participation in the Interne Klachten en Vertrouwenscommissie Individuele Medewerkers. Prior experience includes working as a psychologist and scientific researcher at CIRO, leading the Beslist Samen! project, and involvement with E-PAL as a member of the editorial board. Carmen obtained a PhD from Maastricht University with a thesis focused on advance care planning in life-limiting illnesses, defended on March 9, 2018. Educational qualifications include multiple degrees in medical psychology, clinical psychology, and clinical health psychology from Tilburg University and RINO Zuid.
