Rahul Chaturvedi

Rahul Chaturvedi is the founder and CEO of VIE Technologies Inc., a leading end-to-end Industrial Internet of Things solution provider. He is a 25 year wireless industry veteran and a prolific innovator.

Rahul invented the MiFi, thereby launching a new multi-billion dollar global device category called ‘mobile hotspot’. The technology is now incorporated in all smartphones. Rahul was the first person to conceptualize and develop multi-band mobile USB devices that were previously thought to be impossible to design. Using technology from MIT Media Labs, he recently commercialized a medication reminder product line called GlowCaps.

Rahul’s career spans well recognized companies in the wireless industry including Motorola, Qualcomm, Kyocera, and Novatel Wireless with increasing levels of responsibility. Prior to consumer wireless business, Rahul was involved in NASA contract work where he participated in the design of environmental controls of the Space Station Freedom.

Rahul has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Birla Institute of Technology, India, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from New Mexico State University.
