Luis Ponce Cabrera has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Luis is currently the President of Onteko Inc, where they focus on the development of new technology to improve agrochemical capture by ants using selective laser treatment. Luis is also responsible for creating the intellectual property portfolio and securing financing through capital raising and grant applications.
Prior to their current role, Luis worked as a Laser Engineer at View, Inc from 2018 onwards. Before that, they served as a Senior Research Associate at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) from 2014 to 2021. At ICTP, they taught Laser Physics and oversaw research involving the LIBS technique. Luis co-directed the Winter College on Optics during their time there.
