Gastón Vilches

Gastón Vilches has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2018. Gastón was a Becario at YPF SA from 2018 to 2020, and an Ayudante de Docencia at Universidad Nacional del Sur from 2018 to 2021. Gastón also held a Becario de Investigación role at Universidad Nacional del Sur from 2018 to 2021, researching architectures of deep learning neural networks applied to spatial reasoning. In 2020, they were an Applications Engineer at Oculi Inc, developing image processing algorithms and analyzing and optimizing Lidar and CMOS imagers hardware. Currently, they are a Data Scientist at ViewMind Inc. and a Becario doctoral at CONICET, researching deep learning neural networks applied to spatial reasoning.

Gastón Vilches attended Instituto Nuestra Señora del Rosario from 2009 to 2014, where they earned their High School Diploma in the field of Técnico mecánico. Gastón then attended Universidad Nacional del Sur from 2015 to 2021, where they earned their degree in Ingeniería Electrónica.
