Spencer Bates

Spencer Bates has over 25 years of work experience in various IT and management roles. Spencer started their career at Hayes Lemmerz International, where they served as a Material Control Supervisor and implemented a computer-based MRP program to improve inventory management. After that, they joined Perot Systems and worked as a LAN Administrator, Infrastructure Lead, Network Operations Manager, and Project Manager. Spencer'sresponsibilities included network design, implementation, and support, as well as coordination of IT projects.

Spencer then worked at Parsons Corporation as an IT/Communications Manager for various projects in Iraq. Spencer managed voice and data communications networks, scoped IT requirements, and controlled budgets. Spencer also served as an IT Systems Manager, where they provided technical guidance and project coordination for contract management software integration.

Following their time at Parsons, Spencer worked at Fashion Nova as a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, overseeing equipment inventory and maintenance projects. Spencer also worked as a Senior IT Technician, maintaining corporate and distribution center technologies.

Most recently, Spencer joined ViewSonic as an Information Technology Technician, where they are responsible for IT support and maintenance.

Spencer Bates completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Information Technology from USC Marshall School of Business from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Operations Management from Cal State East Bay- College of Business & Economics. In November 2019, they obtained a certification in Learning Microsoft Flow 2017 from Lynda.com.
