Neil Bassett

Neil Bassett, PhD, serves as a Software Engineer at ViFiVE Inc. since April 2023, focusing on iOS app development and integrating machine learning models for motion tracking and pose detection. Prior to this role, Neil worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy at the University of Colorado Boulder from June 2018 to April 2023, during which time Neil published eight peer-reviewed papers and presented research findings at 13 professional conferences. Neil earned a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Colorado Boulder in May 2023, a Master of Science in Astrophysics from the same institution in December 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics and Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Indiana University Bloomington in 2018.
