Christian Mirescu is an accomplished neuroscientist currently serving as Vice President and Head of Neuroimmunology at Vigil Neuroscience since November 2021. Previously, Christian held the role of Director for the Neurodegenerative Disease Research Unit at Biogen from March 2021 to November 2021. Prior to that, Christian spent over a decade at Merck, progressing through various positions including Principal Scientist, Associate Principal Scientist, and Senior Research Biologist in both Neuroscience and Obesity. Christian's academic credentials include a PhD in Neuroscience from Princeton University, obtained from 1999 to 2004, as well as a BS in Biology and Psychology from The College of New Jersey, earned from 1994 to 1998.
