Vigil Neuro
Sara Ospina-Mora's work experience includes a position as a Principal Research Associate at Vigil Neuroscience starting from October 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Scientist II at Biogen from July 2021 to October 2023. Sara also has experience as a Research Assistant at Boston Children's Hospital from March 2018 to July 2021, where they conducted research on traumatic brain injuries and managed breeding colonies. In addition, they worked as a Student Office Assistant and Learning Assistant at Boston University, providing support to students and enhancing their understanding of lab techniques and scientific concepts. Sara also had a research internship at Boston University School of Medicine, where they observed molecular mechanisms related to cardiovascular cell growth and analyzed blood serum.
Sara Ospina-Mora earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from Boston University in 2019. Sara also obtained several certifications related to laboratory mouse strains and genetic engineering from The Jackson Laboratory in 2023.
