Austin Triggs

Executive Chairman at Vigilant Health

Austin Triggs is Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Vigilant Health. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Renal Care Group, Inc., a leading national provider of dialysis services to individuals with chronic kidney disease. At Renal Care Group, he was responsible for acquisitions, mergers, and development, including developing joint ventures with university medical centers, physicians, and hospitals. Following Renal Care Group, he worked as a strategic advisor to B. Braun Melsungen AG (a German medical and pharmaceutical device company), academic medical centers, and private equity funds.

Earlier in his career, he served as a senior executive and board member at companies providing general and specialized home care services. Mr. Triggs received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi Law School. He practiced corporate and securities law for nine years in Nashville, Tennessee. His prior civic activities include serving as chair of the advisory board of the Duke University Institute on Care at the End of Life, principal advisor to the Center for Theology and Health at the Duke Medical Center, board member of the American Council on Germany, and board member of Aquinas College.
