Walter Stokman has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Walter began their career in the US Navy as a pipe fitter from 1986 to 1991. Walter then worked as a pipe fitting leadman (repair) at the National Steel & Ship Building Company for a year. Walter joined Gunderson LLC in 1992 and held the role of Marine Production Coordinator for over two decades. In this role, they were responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of marine production employees. In 2016, Walter became the Marine Production Manager at Gunderson Marine LLC, where they managed the Marine Production department, ensuring safety and productivity. In 2021, they joined International Marine and Industrial Applicators, LLC (IMIA) as the VP of West Coast Business Units, responsible for customer satisfaction and the success of the West Coast Business Units. Currently, Walter is the Director of Production, Ship Repair at Vigor, LLC.

Walter Stokman pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Walter attended the university from 2002 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Walter has obtained various certifications from LinkedIn.
