Darshana Joshi

Darshana Joshi, Ph.D., is a prominent educator and entrepreneur in the field of STEM, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of VigyanShaala International since April 2019. With a focus on making STEM education accessible to marginalized communities in India, Darshana has led significant policy interventions, including a state-wide study in Uttarakhand. As an Echoing Green Fellow in 2023, Darshana continues to influence STEM learning initiatives. Prior experience includes co-founding VigyanShaala, where hands-on science education and peer mentoring were central goals. Notably, Darshana has held leadership roles at the University of Cambridge as President of the Graduate Union and as a member of the University Council, alongside extensive experience in research and teaching within physics and materials science. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s in Materials Science from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research.
