Mark Laustra

Mark Laustra has over 30 years of work experience in the security industry. Mark currently serves as the Vice President of New Markets at Viken Detection, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to that, they were a Board Member at Karsa Oy from December 2017 to May 2023.

Mark has also held various roles at top security companies such as Amazon, Analogic, Astrophysics Inc, Smiths Detection, Heimann Systems, and EG&G Astrophysics. At Amazon, they served as the Senior Aviation Security Manager from January 2021 to March 2023. At Analogic, they were the VP of Global Business Development and Government Relations from August 2016 to November 2018. At Astrophysics Inc, they served as the VP of Sales and Government Programs, the Americas, and later as the VP/GM North America. Mark joined Smiths Detection in 1999 and held the position of Vice President of US Transportation & Major Account Sales until November 2012. Mark also served as the Site Manager in Morristown, New Jersey from April 2010 to May 2012.

Mark Laustra attended the University of Central Florida from 1982 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a major in Management.
