Al Wever

Al Wever currently serves as a Security & Network Analyst III at Viking Group Inc. since August 2022. Previously, Al held various positions at Amway from October 1988 to November 2021, culminating as a Senior Information Security Analyst, where responsibilities included establishing policies to safeguard corporate data and conducting vulnerability scans on Microsoft and UNIX servers. Al's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Local Area Network Administrator and a Technical Hotline Technician at Amway, as well as serving as a Special Deputy in the I.T. Forensics Unit at the Kent County Sheriff Department, focusing on digital evidence examination. Additional experience spans technical positions in electronic subsystems and communications systems with Technical Systems, Inc., Communications Specialists, Inc., and T&W Electronics. Al's educational background includes multiple courses at the SANS Technology Institute and certification in Computer and Electronics Engineering Technology from Grand Rapids Community College.
